Hip Scoring

This can be performed by a general practitioner or specialist.
The films may be read by the following schemes - NZVA, Lavelle, PennHip or other recognised Hip Dysplasia Scheme.
Please submit a copy of the results along with the appropriate submission form.


Patella

Annual examination by a general practitioner or specialist following breed recommended age guidelines.
Please take the appropriate form and explanation of testing method to your veterinarian.


Eye Testing

Eye examinations should be repeated annually and should be within 12 months of the date of the registration of a litter.
Gonioscopy is a separate eye test (for predisposition to glaucoma) and, where relevant, this test is only done once.
Eye certificates must be done by an approved Opthalmologist. Currently approved ophthalmologists are:

Eye Certificates are valid for 12 months.


Cardiac

Annual certificate from a Veterinarian.
Please take the appropriate form and explanation of testing method to your veterinarian.
If an abnormality is noted then an examination with a recognised Cardiologist / Veterinarian with special interest in cardiology is recommended. The appropriate form along with the guidelines for examination should be taken to your certifying veterinarian.
